Inter-generation Dialogue on 47th Founding Anniversary of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad
On the 47th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad organized an Iner-generation Dialogue at Poet Sufia Kamal Bhaban Auditorium, Dhaka on 04 April, 2017. The programme was presided over by Dr. Fauzia Moslem, Acting President of BMP. Dr. Maleka Banu, the General Secretary of BMP delivered the welcome speech. Many distinguished personalities including Tapati Saha, Representative of UN Women Bangladesh present in the occasion. Representatives from different generation of women movement participated in the Dialogue. The participants were General Secretary of YWCA of Bangladesh Helen Manisha Sarker, member of Nari Pokkho Rita Das Roy, Associate Professor of Women & Gender Studies department of Dhaka University Tania Haque, Rakhi Mrong of Research & Development Collective, Professor of English department of BRAC University Ferdous Azim, special corresponded of Financial Express Munima Sultana, member Dhaka City branch of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad Juela Jebun Nesa, Student of Physics Department of Eden Girls College Shafkat Alam Akhi, and Human Resource Maneger of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad Poly Mohanta. Other participants took part in the open discussion. The Auditorium was filled with full capacity with the organizers who are struggling to establish Women’s Rights in the country.
The speakers said, Women movement has gone forward through various kinds of challenges. With time form of violence against women is getting cruel. In present time women movement is facing new challenges like cyber crime, rise of women extremist etc. To face this challenge, have to earn co-operation of social media to strengthen women movement. At the same time, to establish women movement, we need involvement of not only women but also need help of men and all section of society.

Inter-generation Dialogue sharing with women farmers was held at Belabo, Norshingdi on 7th April 2017 where Acting President Dr. Fauzia Moslem, Joint General Secretary Rakhi Das Purkayastha, Training, aresearch & Library Secretary Rina Ahmed and Social Welfare Secretary Rabeya Begum Shanti were present as central committee representatives. More than 300 women farmers from different corners of Belabo thana participated in sharing meeting.
Inter-generation Dialogue with women workers was held at Tongi on 7th April 2017 General Secretary Dr. Maleka Banu, Asst. General Secretary Adv. Masuda Rehana Begum, where Acting Movement Secretary Rekha Chowdhury and Member of Central Committee Anwara Begum were present as central committee representatives.
And Inter-generation Dialogue with young girls about resist the early marriage was held in Sunamgonj on 7th April 2017 on this occasion. Member of Central Committee Gouri Bhattacharja was present as central committee representatives.
