Brief Introduction to Education and Culture Sub-Committee
In the Thirteenth national conference held on December 30-31st, 2021, a 13-member committee was formed with Khurshida Imam as acting secretary of the education and culture sub-committee. Later 7 more members were added to this committee and now the total number of members is 20.
This committee is working continuously with the following objectives and action plans:
- Addressing the irregularities and disorganization in the current education system and working towards implementing appropriate measures for a one way, science-based, non-discriminatory, and liberal education policy.
- Initiating a movement against degenerated culture.
- Involving cultural workers in the promotion of educational programs.
- Sending circulars to ensure the literacy of all members of the root level in the field of women education.
- Organizing various events at the center and district branches, such as Independence Day, International Mother Language Day on 21st February, Martyrs' Day, Intellectuals' Day, Victory Day celebration.
- Enhancing communication with young cultural workers.
- Organizing cultural events and street dramas to promote awareness about international women's rights and violence against women.
- Empowering women in society through healthy cultural discussions.
- Working towards eliminating communalism, religious extremism, and promoting awareness in women's society.
- Providing support to enhance the mental strength and self-confidence of women in society through cultural discussions.
- Conducting discussions and exchange of ideas on reproductive health and inspiring life stories of prominent women leaders in various educational institutions.
- Creating awareness against child marriage and organizing discussions in rural schools.
