Movement
Family, society and the state must come forward to prevent suppression against women and children
Bangladesh Mahila Parishad basically a movement oriented organization. Movement Sub- Committee is mainly responsible for action-oriented activities to achieve goal of the organization.
The Sub- Committee follows following methodology:
- Policy Advocacy
- Street movement
- Mobilizing public opinion
- Campaign program
- Research for evidence based advocacy
Activities:
- Promote political empowerment of women.
- Ensure effective and full participation of women in decision-making process.
- Promote women’s human rights establishing democracy and good governance.
- Promote economic empowerment and financial inclusion of women.
- Campaign against communalism and religious extremism towards establishing social harmony m peace and security of women.
- Strengthening women’s movement through building networking like Social Action Committee and other Platforms
- Building inclusive movement to promote rights of women of marginalized and excluded group.
