Working to Ensure Empowerment of Women through Advanced Participation in Technology
The fourth industrial revolution has already started a new era of technological advancements and Bangladesh has embraced it with open arms. This revolution is an opportunity for all, including leaders, policymakers, rights activists and people from all social and economic backgrounds to become a part of it to create technology-driven positive changes that empower organizations, communities, and nations.
With this vision, Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) has promoted its IT department to use technology to empower its member and women from all walks of life and contribute to their development and rights.
Task of the Subcommittee :
- The subcommittee is managing to task increase the use of technology in the organization by maintaining hardware and software, monitoring system performance, data storage and backups, application management.
- The monitoring system is there to always keep an eye on the software applications and hardware systems.
- BMP’s IT department uses cloud storage to prevent data loss by managing data storage and systemic backups. The organization’s vital software and communication platforms, such as email, instant messaging, and video conferencing, are managed by IT department.
- IT department supports for the online certificate course on Gender, Women's Empowerment, and Development.
- IT department BMP maintain global network on women human rights movement through collecting and sharing information.
- IT department supports BMP to join UNCSW sessions and other UN global and regional events.
- IT department organized capacity building training on of IT for internal and external network.

By harnessing the potential of information technology, BMP is committed to creating an inclusive, human-centered future where women can thrive and make a lasting impact on their families, communities, and society as a whole.
