Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) Delegation Meets Chief Justice to Discuss About Gender-Friendly Justice System

On February 15, 2024, a group from Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) met with the Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Obaidul Hassan. During this meeting, the delegation talked about making the justice procedure easier for people to get legal help, handling court cases faster, and supporting victims of violence against women and girls with their own lawyers. They also discussed about monitoring of cases involving women and girls, preventing violence and harassment, and setting up complaint committees in educational institutions and workplaces. The Chief Justice paid close attention to these important issues.


During the meeting with the Honorable Chief Justice, Dr. Fauzia Moslem, President of BMP, General Secretary Maleka Banu, Joint General Secretary Shima Moslem, and Advocate Masuda Rehana Begum, Advocate Deepti Rani Sikdar, Acting Legal Advocacy Director of the Central Legal Aid Sub-Committee, and Senior Advocate Ram Lal Raha were present as the central committee delegation of the Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP).
